| Job Description: |
| The responsibilities of the Project Engineer shall include, but are not limited to, those contained in the following statements:
 Be conversant with the technical and commercial aspects of the Project and to have a full understanding of the scope of work, as provided by the Project Manager.
 Identify potential variations in costs and the scope of work.
 To initiate and undertake engineering design and evaluation, which includes the initiation and monitoring of drawings and undertaking appropriate calculations for inclusion in the design
 To ensure the appropriate use and treatment of engineering materials within the design.
 To compile engineering and technical specifications, operation/test manuals maintenance procedures and Work Instructions where required as part of the Project.
 To witness and co-ordinate assembly, testing, commissioning and operation at onshore and offshore locations.
 Make, develop and encourage any technical suggestions that will enhance the overall Project Engineering or Operational efficiency.
 Implement and organise any approved modifications to the Project, ensuring all changes are fully documented and included in the appropriate documents.
 Liaise with and co-ordinate the activities of vendors and subcontractors as and when required as a part of the Project, without commercial authority.
 Keep up to date with ongoing developments in the field of Subsea Construction and Remote Systems Engineering.
 Assist with inspection of incoming items as appropriate to knowledge, experience and training.
 Interface with the other engineers to guarantee all design work is carried out with the common target of optimising final cost and schedule.
 Supervise any activity assigned to Third Party Contractors. This includes, but is not limited to:
 Site supervision.
 Approval of deliverables.
 Compliance with project targets.
 To prepare offshore operations procedures at the request of the Vessel Superintendent and/or Project Manager.
 To become familiar with Vessel and ROV operations / limitations, in order to improve design, operational schedule, procedures and safety.
 Participate in daily project meetings and toolbox talks when offshore to maintain good communications with Vessel Superintendent, Project Manager, ROV Supervisor and Client where applicable.
 Provide regular communication when offshore with project office, and provide Progress Reports relating directly to project engineering and operational activities, as defined by Project Manager/Vessel Superintendent.
 Maintain Inventory of project equipment offshore, and inform Project Manager/Vessel Superintendent of any change in equipment requirements.
 Assist in the planning of offshore mobilisation / demobilisation of project equipment.
 Review and be familiar with Operations Department specifications, design, drawing procedures in order to conform with the Company’s Integrated Management System, the specific requirements of the Client and other governmental and/or statutory bodies.
 Conduct all activities within the IMS Policy, Procedures and Work Instruction.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The following are the minimum qualifications for the position of Project Engineer. However they are to be used as guidelines only as each individual shall be judges on their individual qualifications and experience.
Education
University or College Engineering education to BSc/BEng or higher and/or Industry training in Engineering.
Hold current offshore (UKOOA & OLF) Medical and Survival in-date Certificates.
Experience
A minimum of three years professional experience with at least two years experience with relevant Remote Systems or Subsea Construction Engineering background.
Be conversant with the requirements of ISO 9001 Quality Standard.

Required to produce designs of specialist tooling for subsea construction by ROV.
Perform design verification
Prepare design reports and specifications
Manage manufacturing sub-contractors
Supervise and participate in in-house testing and shallow water and offshroe trials
Must Haves: Experience in diverless subsea construction projects particularly spool installation and pipeline repair systems
Experience in the design, build and offshore operation of ROV tooling modules
