          <title>PLC/Electrical Design Engineer - South Yorkshire</title>
          <link>http://www.4engineers.co.uk/view.php?job_id=17256</link>
<description>++A new role has just been announced with this growing systems integrator in South Yorkshire++. The client is looking for an experienced SCADA/PLC Software Engineer with a good understanding of Electrical Engineering. Your experience will ideally come from working with Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley PLCs and your SCADA knowledge will ideally come from Wonderware, WinCC or iFix.

Due to the nature of the work you will be managing your own projects and be expected to show at interview a track record of self and project management. You will also need experience of site installation and commissioning as this role is a full life cycle position. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate successful delivery of the design and commissioning of turn key projects, ideally from a systems integration background but certainly from a project based environment (rather than plant maintenance).

The client is less concerned about the exact vendor experience and is looking for good all round PLC/SCADA skills and is prepared to develop your skills with the specific packages they use. If you have come from an Electrical based degree or first job then you will have the wider knowledge base to suit this role.

Writing PLC programs from scratch is a prerequisite for this position so this will suit someone with strong design and programming skills rather than a maintenance type engineer. If you have experience of AutoCAD Electrical to provide electrical schematics that would be beneficial but not essential. Knowledge of automated processes and industrial controls is a must, if you have experience of AC and DC drives and motors that would be hugely beneficial.

You will need to be a customer facing engineer as up to a third of this role could be based on customer sites around the UK.

The client has a great office location, if busy city centres aren&amp;#x2019;t your preference this client is based in a rural location with free parking. The business prides itself on having great retention, a positive culture and an environment where individuals can progress their careers.

Please send your CV asap, the client can interview this week. </description>
