Our Engineering Department has recently undergone re-organisation, offering these opportunities.

Working rotating shifts, you will play key roles maintaining our reputation for manufacturing excellence. As a 24/7 manufacturing site, it is crucial that plant and equipment are maintained to deliver demanding outputs with minimum down time. As part of the Engineering team, you will work with other Departments to deliver continuous improvement and cost efficiency initiatives.

With food industry experience, you’ll be fully conversant with relevant Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations and requirements. You’ll possess either level 3 in Electrical Engineering, or have proven mechanical ability with a basic electrical qualification.

This is a genuinely rare opportunity for an experienced and ambitious project engineer to make a real impact in a highly successful, specialist offshore drilling &amp; construction business at a critical stage in its evolution. An autonomous subsidiary of a major world-wide group it is already a global market leader with around 300 employees, £60m turnover and plans to double in size over the next 5 years.

A pivotal member of a strong project management function, you will be responsible for the co-ordination of all technical activity during the manufacture of major drill rigs and bespoke operating equipment from design through to commissioning. With projects ranging up to £20m in value and 18 months duration, you will be at the very heart of the operation, liaising with clients, colleagues, subcontractors and strategic partners, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and effectively in accordance with build specifications and agreed quality &amp; engineering standards to time &amp; cost.

A degree / HND qualified Project Engineer, you will be no stranger to the delivery of high-value, heavy-purpose plant &amp; equipment projects and bring a broad range of experience encompassing CAD, design management, fabrication and assembly. Hands-on, practical and collaborative with strong communication skills and a commitment to engineering excellence, you must be able to interface effectively with clients and technical colleagues as well as make things happen on the shop floor.
